The LAAC: The place of contemporary arts in Dunkerque
Opened in 2006 after a complete renovation, the LAAC owns one of the most fabulous french art collection from the sixties and seventies. Don't go without a walk in the garden surrounded by sculptures.

Les fortifications Vauban (Gravelines)
Build on 1160, the fortifications are almost entirely intact. Walking access to the fortifications is good for most of the fortifications. It is possible to hire small boats to sail round the flooded ditch in the summer. The tourist office can provide you a map and useful information. A visit to Gravelines fits in well with other Vauban fortresses in the region; Bergues (south of Dunkerque) and Calais.

Bergues is one of those Flemish towns on which time seems to have made no impression. No doubt that its rich heritage, refined local gastronomy and environment will detain the passing tourist in "the other Bruges of Flanders"…
